Affording an Armstrong Education: Tuition and Financial Aid

With a 2019-2020 tuition rate of $45,500, an Armstrong education is a significant financial decision. Armstrong is committed to providing access to a Charles Armstrong School education for a diverse community of students and families, including families for whom affordability is a challenge. In support of these commitments, Armstrong maintains a robust financial aid program.   We encourage families concerned about affordability to apply for financial aid. Donations and endowment earnings provide a generous annual budget for financial aid at Armstrong - approximately 25% of students receive some financial aid.

Financial aid is awarded to qualified current families at re-enrollment time, followed by awards to qualified newly accepted families. For any enrollments at later dates, qualified families receive awards to the extent funds remain in the annual financial aid budget.

A family’s application for financial aid in no way affects the Admission Committee’s decision on whether a student is qualified to attend Armstrong, and we encourage you to apply for financial aid at the same time as you are applying for admission to Charles Armstrong School.

Armstrong uses the leading third-party service, School and Student Services (SSS), provided through the National Association of Independent Schools, for the initial analysis of a family’s financial need. Additional analysis is completed by the School’s Business Office. Grants are awarded under the direction and approval of Armstrong’s Financial Aid Committee. All information provided during the financial aid application and review process is held in the strictest confidence.

Please follow these steps to apply for Financial Aid:

1. Complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online at the link below.  The SSS code for Armstrong is 2304.

2. Upload to SSS a copy of your completed 2017 and 2018 Federal Tax Returns, including all attachments and W-2 forms.

3. Complete and upload to SSS IRS Form 4506-T, link below.

Please note that divorced, separated, or never married parents must each complete the PFS and submit required tax documents.
